La banda de la semana: Pulp.

Pulp fue formado por Jarvis Cocker con amigos del colegio cuando tan solo tenía 14 años. Comenzaron con discos un tanto experimentales que no tuvieron mucha repercusión pero desde jóvenes iban cogiendo tablas en numerosos conciertos que daban por Inglaterra.

A partir de 1992, Pulp cambió de discográfica firmó con el sello Island Records. Dejando atrás cuatro discos que reflejaban su progreso, crearon en 1994 "His'n'Hers", un disco con mayor acogida internacional y que reflejó como un grupo entre amigos de Yorkshire aprendió hasta componer un disco tan elevado por la crítica como éste.

Sin duda la cumbre de Pulp llegó con la edición en 1995 de "Different Class", para muchos, el mejor disco de Pulp, habían llegado al dominio perfecto del ritmo en cada una de las canciones. El carisma de Jarvis Cocker sobre el escenario se llegaba a comparar con el de Mick Jagger.

El último disco de Pulp, "We love life", fue editado en 2001, a causa de las bajas ventas de este disco su discográfica les rescindió el contrato tras la publicación en el 2002 de un grandes éxitos en formato CD y DVD. Desde entonces Jarvis Cocker ha aprovechado para experimentar con un grupo de música electrónica llamado "Relaxed Muscle" y ha participado recientemente, a petición de los actores, en la última película de "Harry Potter" componiendo e interpretando tres canciones de la Banda Sonora e incluso apareciendo en alguna breve escena de la película

watching roaches climb the wall,
if you call your Dad he could stop it all
